Wow.....so I turned 26th today, and last night had to be the illest birthday eve I've ever had. First to be next to the Legendary Slick Rick was overwhelming.....(all that jewelry did not help either) but to rock to a full house at Studio B, Brooklyn was just priceless. My band the "Mighty Embassy Ensemble" was in full effect and to say we rocked the house is definately an understatement. I have to shout out Rob Murat (keys+ vox) BSatz (upright bass) Sydney (drums) Johny (Sax) Ron (Trombone) Jonathan (Trumpet) and DJ Kev Sakoda (1's and 2's), Kwasi, James and my man on the boards, John Altino Jr. ( thanks for showing them sound dudes how its done). Thank all y'all for an exellent set and enjoying my b'day with me. And for those who couldn't make it out to party with us I just added an exclusive new song to my myspace called "Remembering the Future"..... Thats what I hope we can all celebrate....THE FUTURE!

So last weekend was the craziest ever....I rocked Philly with Akon, got home the next day and rocked with the god MC himself Rakim. So let me give you a play by play recap of of both shows... We got to Philly at about 2pm on saturday ( cos we were supposed to soundcheck then but we all knew that never happens) We got to souncheck at about 6pm after waiting for Akon's band to finish their check. The minute we got on stage, Akons manager walks up and tell us we cant use any of the instruments on stage including the drum set and keyboard...(Wooooow, I was thinking this shit is over!) We had to get down and negotiate hard till they finally agreed we could use the equipment as long as we did'nt adjust any of the levels...(we all took a deep breath and thanked God!) Sound check was a little rough since we did not have an engineer to work the house. Big shouts to the sound man Scott who was patient with us and set up all my 9 musicians. Anyways so the show got off to a late start, Kid Sister and DJ A-Track rocked first and then it was time for yours truely. The munite we started the joint "Prelude"...the crowd went bizzzzerk. I rocked the Djembe for the first verse then hoped on the mic and it was on from there. The highlight of my performance had to be "Suicide Theme"....I don't think anyone was ready for Kate Mattison. She started the song so calm and smooth then all of a sudden it just got crazy when I droped my verse. The guitarist Chris, had the sickest solo too. We ended the set with Home and that really got the crowd screaming....I'll take you Home,... Home,.... Home. ( how dope ?????) All in all it was a great night and I have to thank all the musicians for their patience before and after the set, Kieth for the photos, Kwasi, Cralee, Lloyd, Charlie, Derrick Gomez (sorry for a bumpy night), James, Tanya and everyone else who helped make this happen. Oh and btw Akons set was nice too.... I missed most of it because I was hustling to get my people back home to NYC, which was to happen at 2am but didnt until 6am.... I got no sleep all night but thats another story. I got back to NYC on the China town bus because I could'nt fit in the van that brought my band home.

I knew about the Rakim show but I was not confirmed to perform so my goal was just to get home and rest. Believe it or not, my phone rang as soon as I droped my bags in my apartment and it was my manager Kwasi, sounding maaaad excited....."Yo you rockin with Rakim Tonight...you ready?" I was like daaaaaamn!!!!!!! I was tired as hell but this is a Rakim y'all...The god MC himself...with special guest Chuck D,.... How can I say NO????? So I got back on the phone called my two horn players (who I know must have been tired as shit), and we went to Studio B and did the Damn thing. Big shouts to Danny Castro who made that happen and Chuck D for the big up. So that was the end of my crazy weekend in Philly and NYC. Peace Y'all.... Hope you enjoyed your holidays like we did. 08' is definately starting on a very high note with two major live shows with Akon & Freeway (Jan 19th) and Snoop Dogg & Lupe Fiasco (Feb 29th) in Philly. In addition to these shows, I'm featured in the current issue of Trace Magazine so grab that of a newstand around you. I'm also in the final mixing stage of my album Suicide Stereotype, be on the look out for the official 12" release ( for all my vinyl junkies) and itunes premiere. The early reviews of Suicide Stereotype have been awesome with some writers calling it the most anticipated debut Hip-Hop release since Kanye Wests College Dropout. Well, we have a couple months before release and we are close to locking something down with a major label (wont say who yet...lol) so we hope this excitement continues. Big shouts to Kwasi and Charlie working non-stop to get us the best situation. Keep spreading the word y'all....08' is OURS.

WELCOME TO THE TERRORDOME!!!!!!

So I'm still recovering from rocking two nights with PE…..wow who ever thought. You gotta understand my excitement here people. I remember Public Enemy came Ghana in 1992, right after the Fight the Power record was humongous…. and I remember everybody that knew a bit about Hip-Hop had a PE t-shirt. Even some folks who had no idea about Hip-Hop still rocked the shirts all for the infamous black and white scope logo. So to be part of PE’s 20th anniversary was like….DAMN. See I'm only 25 years old so when I was 5 years these brothers were selling out concerts around the world. How insane?? Anyways I can’t even give a play by play account of both gigs but I can say me and my 3 piece horn crew and percussionist got the crowd super hyped for a blistering 2 hour PE set. I performed the future classics 'Hands of time', 'B-Boy Massacre' & 'Losing your Mind' which got the best crowd response hands down. Actually my horn section was so dope that Chuck D had them come on stage and rock one song with PE. Big shouts to Omar, John, Rob and Ben and Optiks for putting together the set last minute. This is how you end a crazy eventful year, from rocking BK HipHop fest with Ghostface, Celebrate Brooklyn with KRS One, Warped tour and now two PE 20th anniversary shows ?????????? '08 has got to be the year of the EMBASSAY! Thanks for all the love & support through out the year. I know the big question now is when is Suicide Stereotype coming out? All I can say is that it wont be long.

If you have not heard of Kate Mattison you need to check her out. I've known Kate for a while (we go waaay back to Kent,Ohio) and she is one of the dopest vocalist and beautifulest people I know. So when I was working on Suicide Stereotype she was one of the few people I knew I wanted to collab with. We first worked on Nothing to Lose (Suicide Theme) which she murdered so when it came time to find someone to do the main vocals on the lead single 'Losing your Mind' she was the first person I thought of. Peace y'all...just checking in to drop a few updates. We had a crazy week with back to back college shows. First I got to shout out the folks at Lehigh University for a great show. Big ups to Calvin and the international Student Union for making it happen. Next I have to say thanks to all the folks at St. Johns University and the panel who had a dope discussion on the state of Hip-Hop. Bakari Kitwana, Danny Hoch, Toni Blackman, Hot 97's Miss info were all in the house to shed some light on the issues. We rocked a short but solid set after the discussion and I must say,...St.Johns held it down. So while all this has been going down me and my street team have been hitting the streets hard to promote. We hit up all five boroughs with posters and stickers so be on the lookout for St@tic when you are in the city. We hit up Williamsburgh and Manhattan's Lower Eastside and got St@tic all round the city. My man Rob came thru with the 4 runner and me and Brandon got them posters poppin. I know you will be seeing that boombox image everywhere you go this week in NYC. Finally, tomorrow is officially the last day of CMJ and I'll be rocking along side the African Underground Allstars...you dont want to miss this one....

AWARD TOUR......Q-TIP & ALI SHAHEED ROCK LIVE @ CMJ!
Yo....so last night was an absolute blast. CMJ kicked off, I got my official CMJ pass with my name on it (oh...so special) and I ventured out to let the whole NYC know the Ambassador has arrived. Fist stop was CL Smooths 30th birthday celebration. I linked up with booking agent Jesse and a whole lot of dope people from Digiwax. Next stop was Blender where the Almight Q-tip was doing his thing. We actually got there a bit late so missed most of his set, but I still got to see him rip 'Award Tour'...which is like my favorite Hip-Hop record of all time. Best part the crowd was rhyming along with Tip word for word. Next stop was 205 chrystie where imeem was having a dance party. it was actually full of yuppies and 80's dressing cats. It really looked like a circus in there. The music was cool, but I soon developed a headache from all those ravelike flahing lights.
I heade home soon afterwards and crashed minutes latter. All in all I can definately say day 1 of CMJ was actually dope. we'll see what today brings. And dont forget I'll be rocking my own CMJ showcase at Rose club on saturday Oct 20th. Tell a friend.

ALL AND TOGETHER NOW.......
Peace y'all... Just stopping thru to drop a couple updates. We had a rediculous time last week with back to back shows....flights....studio sessions etc. It started on weds night at S.O.B's, big shouts to Peter Hadar and Michele Moore for holding it down. I was actually packed to go staight to the airport since I had a 7am flight to catch so right after the gig I got on the A train and headed straight for JFK. I got to Minnesota expecting it to be cold but the heat quickly reminded me of Ghana. The coolest thing tho was that they had me staying in the Embassy Suites.....(get it? the Ambassador? Embassy Suites?) They said it was purely coincidence and that all the other hotels were booked for the hockey season opening game. So I rocked Macalester College latter that night and had an absolute blast. Big up to M.anifest who held it down with me. The energy was so dope I ended up rocking an extra 15 minutes just cos I aint want to bounce. They actually had to cut the lights on to get us out of there. Much thanks to Sylvester, Mandy and all those who helped to bring me out there. I stayed up all night and talked politics, society and Hip-hop with a few students on the campus before heading straight to the airport to catch another 7am flight.I'm still recovering from the run around. BUSINESS AS USUAL......
Peace Y'all...so yesterday we kicked off our NYC takeover tour. The knitting factory was dope!!!! My mans Rugged and Raw kicked of the show with a few joints and got the crowd hype. Fresh Dailey followed with a solid set followed shortley afterwards by The Big Brother/ Big Sister initiative in NYC giving a short speech. Next up was yours truley....The Ambassadorrrrr.
I must say each night it seems the joints get better and better. John was on Sax as usual, Ben on Congas, DJ Kev was on the wheels and I was on djembe and vocals. Crazy, Crazy night,...but I think my favorite part of the show was when we were called back to do an encore and we pulled out 'Revival'..... I dont think anyone was ready for that...the crowd went Ape sh*t. All in all it was a great show, Peace to Loj who held it down last and to the live artist at the venue ( I did not get his name but his art was dooooope). Shouts to Kwasi, James, and Rolando for coming thru and doing their thing. Next Blitz Loves NYC show? S.O.B's with Peter Hadar. Peace Y'all.... So the summer is already winding down and we here at the Embassy are thinking to ourselves,..Daaaaamn this fall is going to be craaaazy. First off I just did a photo shoot for Trace Magazine for their October issue, (big ups to Anicee, Beans, Omar and the most incredible photographer Mark Hartman for makin it happen) I also just did an interview with the Source magazine too and make sure you get a copy of Allhiphop weeks mixtape cos Hands of Time is featured on that along side other heavy hitter like Kanye West and 50 cent (aaaaaah.....I know you already downloaded that shit,...I'm still buying the kanye tho...its craaaaack) Okay so just when you thought the buzz couldnt get any bigger, www.djbooth.com, www.yoraps.com and www.nobodysmiling.com just did major feature stories on your boy. *Damn* take that...take that (c) Diddy. So with all this going on, we have chosen October to officially start the Suicide Stereotype takeover and we will be launching the "Are U an Ambassador" campaign to get y'all involved. Peace Y'all so I'm doing my best to keep y'all updated with all the bru-ha-ha happening.... for real folks, Its been a craaaaazy week. So I'm 90% done with my album. ( I - feels - good (c) James Brown....its been two years grinding non-stop) I got one more song to finish and we are golden. The buzzz about the album has been real ridiculous so far after our non-stop show hustle his Summer. (Warped Tour, Brooklyn Hip-Hop Fest etc.) Its soo good that folks back home are picking up on it. Channel O ( for my non African people is like MTV/BET for Africans) just featured me and are going to premiere my video next month. Here is the link:

This is lovely since I grew up watching Channel O in Ghana even though its a South African channel its was like cable to us. Also the unofficial first single from Suicide Stereotype "Hands of Time" has been getting major love from DJ Semtex on bbc 1xtra keeping it in rotation to being #3 this week on About.com Hip-Hop charts ahead of Common, David Banner and Saigon. Thats great news for us because "Hands of Time" isnt even an offical single, it just leaked and took on a life of its own. Last but not the least I just wanted to let y'all know we have barely shopped the album Suicide Stereotype to any labels and a silent bidding war is already underway. I wont say no names but a couple Major Labels are trying to out bid each other for your boy,.... and soon you will know who they are. You know how I feel about the majors but..... lets wait and see.

it seems everybody is excited about this project,...I was walking thru Times Square (fourtydukes as New Yorkers like to call it) the other day and saw some random dude rocking the Suicide Stereo T-shirt and it hit me,...this shit is really a movement. Everywhere I look, there is a guy with a boombox head blowing his brains out staring directly at me....on walls, public restrooms, stop signs, magazines, chinese food menu's, traffic lights.......everywhere. The question everyone wants to know is who the f*ck is this guy....????? So ladies and Gentlemen.....I figured I will disclose all I know about this character. But before I do I have to state that Blitz the Ambassador and his estate have NO LINKS, I repeat NO LINKS whether direct or indirect with this boombox headed maniac.....as a matter of fact, i dont even know how he ended up on my album cover. So Please keep this between us..... His name is ST@TIC STEREOHEAD....but he preferes to be called ST@ (how creative?). I will do my best to get as much info about him for y'all but in the meantime please let me know if you have seen this crazy character hanging around, he is a wanted man in all 50 states. So....I know you are wondering what the f**** up with the title of my tour blog, well to be honest I thinking the same damn thing. I wanted something with a bang to it....."BLITZ INFAMOUS TOUR VLOG-BLOG- Food poisoning 101" was the best I could come up with considering how sick I am right now.... and for the record Utah is officially on my "DONT EAT FROM HIPPIE RESTURANTS SHIT LIST". I've been throwing up for the past two days and all I had was a sea food wrap. I should have known something was wrong when the guy serving us said the restaurant was set up to end world hunger.... I'm thinking to myself like damn....IN UTAH????? well its too late now and it sucks that my first blog for the tour is about food poisoning. I'm going to miss todays show but I hope things get better after my eight hour ride to Denver. One thing is for sure tho.... I am staying clear of any HIPPIE restaurants trying to end world hunger by poisoning the hungry.....still got love for Utah tho. Big up to Chase + Uprock for holding us down.

BROOKLYN HIP-HOP FESTIVAL AND MORE......

Peace Y'all so if you missed the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival all I got to say is D-D-D-D-Daaaaamn!!!!!. This was probably the hottest show I've rocked all year. Myself, Print, Kidz in the Hall, Tanya Morgan, Cosequence, Skillz and the Almighty Ghostface from the Wu-Tang Clan????? now thats what I call a show. The best thing about the show was the location.....right between the Brooklyn and Mahattan Bridge. That was a backdrop to kill for. I'll be posting video footage and exclusive pics in a few days so please check back. My next NYC date is August 3rd with KRS One and Lady Bug Mecca at Prospect park....(it just dont stop right? ). In the mean time, out-of-towners can check my entire tour schedule and see when I'm in you city. Come out and support as me One.Be.Lo and K-os rip it up on the Warped tour and in the words of the great Masta Ace,..."this is going to be one long hot Summer"- Stay Tuned.

What up y'all? So I'm working on a craaaaaaazy schedule. I'm rocking two huge shows in NYC, both in June,...5th Annual Hip-Hop Odessey Awards on the 16th with Public Enemy, Paul Mooney and Ed Lover and Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival on the 23rd with Ghostface, Consequence, Skillz etc...(come support) So between rocking those shows and getting ready for the 50 city Warped Tour hustle, I decided to shoot the video for my first single B-Boy Massacre...(what the hell is wrong with me????) well,... so I got with my producer Artesia and we put together a solid crew and cast for what has to be a classic video. I drew up a story board to communicate my ideas with my crew and I figured what the hell.... I'll drop a few slides to give y'all an idea of what this video is going to be like. And I know you are asking your self is that going to be a real boombox on my head? Yes and No.... Yes its a real boombox.... No I aint the one rocking it. Thats what actors are for right?.,....me?....I'm behind the camera directing once again. (watch your back Tarantino). Enjoy the storyboards and I'll keep updating you on the video....oh yeah if you happen to be in Brooklyn on the 17th come holla at us at the shoot....you better come rocking your shell toe adidas tho....The B-Boy Massacre goes Down!!!!! Peace y'all, so I can believe it. The year is already winding down and we are already preparing for a blast next year. First of....07 will mark Ghana's 50th year as an independent country (independent?? hmmm... not counting our new colonial masters the IMF and World Bank) All people of African decent should be proud of Ghana for being the first sub-saharan country to break free from European dominance and set an example for the rest of the continent. Shouts to Kwame Nkrumah...March 6th means everything to us. Next thing that makes 07 special, our lovely mother, Sista, comrade and friend Assata Shakur will be 60 years living in exile in Cuba. We support and celebrate this Sista's life and we say "Hands off Assata". Another reason to look foward to 07 is the release of my third installement of the Blitz trilogy... 'SUICIDE STEREOTYPE'. If you are familiar with Soul Rebel and Double Consciousness, you already know what to expect. I have been working on this album all year and this should be the final piece of the puzzle. Sometimes I honestly look back at where we started and cant believe we made it this far, with no deal... no budget.... no tour support. We survivalist indeed and I urge all y'all who been the back bone of the movement to stay supporting it. Our time is coming soon.....Hip Hop is alive and well... "Fuck going mainstream, she's back in the River". So before we go jumping into an action packed 07' I'm finishing this year with a solid 10 city tour together with Play Havoc, Rime Royal and Edotkom. This is a Mid west tour but I will be playing some solo dates inbetween. Check out tour schedule and like we say every time GET INVOLVED.

BLITZ and M1 (Dead Prez) BackSage Black August.

Peace Y'all... so I finally got the chance to update y'all on the tour after about a week without the internet... (thank God for wifi) I have to begin with a small Black August update. For those of you who are not familiar with Black August, this is an annual benefit concert for political prisoners living in exile. (Hands of Assata!!!!!!) I spent my night back stage at BB Kings with some of HipHop best MC's:... Black Thought, M1(Dead Prez), Brand Nubian (without Puba) Talib Kweli...etc. The highlight of the night??...Hands down The Roots....( Quest killed it) Peace to DJ Bazarro, Evil Dee, Dre Oba and Conscious Teez for the free gear.
Next stop??.... Pittsburgh, where last night we held it down with DJ Big Phill to celebrate the life and music of one of HipHop's greatest J Dilla. (and if you dont got The Shinning yet?? get it after you are done reading this...its Banging) We hosted the night and rocked a few joints inbetween DJ Phills set. Absolute dopeness. Big ups to Brandon for once again letting me crash on his couch. Next up is Portland, Oregon where I get down wih DJ Scratch (the Roots) for the a few more dates.

BEAN-TOWN MASSACRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I just got back to NYC on the China town bus from Boston and I must say this was a crazy journey.... but very worth the trip. First off I must say much love to the whole Bean-Town for showing much appreciation for the underground. ( I think
I might have got a lil more love if I did not mention that I lived in NYC...lol) But fuck baseball rivalry because Boston still held it down for real HIP HOP. Big ups to Lyrics Born and D-Tension for letting me share the bill with them and even though the stage manager cut my show in half (missed out on Black Market..Memory lane etc...) we still rocked like it was an hour long show. Much love to DJ Lokash for coming through once again....Fly Movement for doing the same and much much love to Rebecca for letting us crash on her couch and air mattress. (thats how we do on the underground son...fuck 5 star hotels....I still had my rest tho.. naah mean) Boston has so far been the most interesting date on the tour. I'm glad we made it happen. Next up, the Midwest... where I rejoin DJ Sleep to rock a few more dates

Aiight y'all so yesterday was a blaaaast. I woke up sore this morning from a 45 minute workout of a show. First off I want to thank the Fly Movement for coming thru, making their presence felt and for blessing me with a fresh Mohammed Ali T-shirt...(big shouts to James/ Terrence and my new sister from Ivoty Coast) Good looks to Modest Touch for the photos....Shouts to DJ Lokash for holding it down (our first show together)...killed the cuts on the brand new Joint 'B-Boy Massacre' which was by far my favorite highlight of the night. (and by the way I wrote and memorized that whole song two days before the show....some scary shit right?). The songs 'Together' and 'Need You' were other high points of the night. I pulled out this random chick and used her to tell the love gone bad story. (.....I wonder if she will read this blog..Damn she was fine too). Over all I got to say NYC was a good audience for my first stop on the tour. The crowd went ape every time we droped a new joint...a few people just kept sitting at the bar but after two, three songs most of them found their way to the front. A real big shout out to every body that came out to support inspite of the late late set time. but what did I expect.... after all New York is the city that never sleeps right??. Next up: Instore in Harlem, then Boston with Lyrics Born..

Tomorrow is the first day of the tour and I am very very excited....it is 2am and I'm still up cross checking everything from set lists to merchandise inventory. The NYC show is more of a warm up show cos its the first time I'm rockin with DJ Lokash who will be handling my east coast dates and DJ sleepyhead rocking the rest of the tour. About time I started keeping a weekly journalof some sort. for those of you who have been checkingback to see whats new with me I've got to apologisefor the slow mo. All said and done I promise to fill yall in on my hustle and I hope y'all share yours with me.Something crazy happened to me this week that I think is worth mentioning. I turned down a record deal which is probably the hardest thing I've done in quite some time. considering the stale nature of Hip Hop, most people would have jumped at the national exposure the company (no name mentioned) was offering me. But like OnebeLo told me," its real easy to get yourself into a fucked up situation but real difficult to get out. (or something like that). In any case all I can say is follow your heart and if something dont feel right, dont second guess it. I know that this episode has exposed me to the ills of the game, and yes I am jaded. Not because some corporate snake approached me with a fucked up contract, but because of the walking contradictions we have become.Red Black and Greed.
